Florida based Stradalli Cycles /Papa John's woman’s race team

Florida based Stradalli Cycles /Papa John's woman’s race team is all geared up to travel  to various US racing events covering the Pro Road Tour Calendar and USA Crit Series in 2016 but first this Domestic Elite Woman’s team will  be participating in a big charitable event, March 12th and 13th. The team will ride 160 miles across Florida on there Stradalli R7 carbon bikes in “The Pan Florida  Challenge”.

Hunger in children is an epidemic. Florida has over 1 MILLION hungry kids (1 in 4), ranking 5th worst in the nation. The Annual Pan-Florida Challenge (PFC) for Hungry Kids, this year in its 3rd year, was founded to do something about this problem. This year the PFC will have over 100 riders cycling more than 160 miles from Naples to West Palm Beach; 100% of riders’ funds raised will provide meals for children in Florida and Haiti who often find themselves with no food from the time they leave school on Friday until they come back to school on Monday morning. This year’s goal is to provide 1,000,000 meals to those food-insecure kids – a bold increase over last year’s 700,000 meals.

The Stradalli Cycles / Papa John’s Elite Woman’s team will be riding along side the other riders on Saturday and Sunday to bring awareness to this cause. They will bring a level of professional cycling, energy, and fun to this group of riders, many of whom have been training hard for months in order to make it across the state in 2 days. Good fun, and a great cause!

Stradalli-Safetti Pro Team Ready For USA Crits Series

The Stradalli – Safetti Cycling Team has been training and working hard to get ready for the USA Criterium Series which officially begins in Tampa, Florida on March 18th. There are plenty of new faces with several familiar ones returning to the team which began training early in the year.

The team has experienced early success this cycling season as they have come away with a top 10 finish in every race while helping the young riders on the team get acclimated and develop. The goal this year is to continue upon the progress and development of young racers who helped make the team a success last season and prepare them for the Miami Pro Cycling Criterium.

The focus early on this season has been about practicing teamwork and finding chemistry and success using the experience riders to give younger riders opportunity to win. After a short break the team is ready to get back to action.

Akil Campbell, the Stradalli-Safetti ambitious young racer from Trinidad and Tobago brought a top 10 placing in what will likely be the hardest road race of the season in in his first race with the team.

Grant Potter, team captain is currently training in his home country Scotland after overcoming a life threatening surgery that cut his season short last year but thankfully did not end his career. He has since found his way back to racing at the top level but it is more than his racing ability that is needed as he also brings a wealth of experience to a young team.

The Vuelta Independencia Nacional Republica Dominicana UCI 2.2 race begins tomorrow with pro racer Jose Frank Rodriguez representing his country for the 8 stages.

The rest of the team is training in South Florida in preparation of their next race. The Stradalli – Safetti team will continue their 2016 racing schedule in March starting with the Chain of Lakes races which are a part of the Bill Bone Pro Am Florida Series.

2015 A Year In Review For Stradalli Cycle

As we look back and review 2015 for Stradalli Cycle this was certainly the year where the company made their presence felt around the entire world. Whether it was our full carbon road bikes being used in the UCI Road World Championships at Richmond 2015 or our full carbon Mountain Bikes racing in Andorra, Stradalli established themselves as a global brand and we are just getting started.
USA Crits: Racing all over North America the team bonded early on with a great combination of seasoned vets and young talent. The team led the overall points standings for the majority of the season and had more pro racers finish in the top 10 of the standings than any other team including a 2nd place overall finish.

Local Domination: While we compete all over the world our home is South Florida and we wouldn’t be able to move forward unless we had a strong foothold in our own backyard. Our pro racers compete in local events throughout the year and this season saw more Florida racing victories than any other.

Mountain Biking: Whether it was Doug DeWeese dominating the FSC Championship on his full carbon 29er full suspension or Bob McCarty winning big races all over North America there is no doubt that we have some elite MTB riders who spent the year stuffing the company trophy case.
Sponsors Commit Early: With the success that 2015 brought and new teams forming in 2016 the sponsors were lining up early. We welcome new sponsors Papa John’s Sea Sucker, Catlike Bicycle Helmet among others and want to say thanks to past sponsors who committed to coming back early on including Safetti, Demon’s Cycle, Jaco Clothing, Diadora, FSA, Met-Rx, Bill Bone Bike Law and others.

Richmond 2015 UCI Road World Championships: Despite great customer reviews on all our full carbon bikes Stradalli is not interested in just bragging, we put our money where our mouth is and that’s why we became the official sponsor of the Colombian National Team. Our full carbon road bikes were used in the races at Richmond 2015 and held their own against the top brands in the world. They were also featured and used during coverage of the races by ESPN Deportes, Universal Sports and others.

New Teams: Flamingo Racing LLC announced the formation of the new Florida based cycling team: Stradalli Cycle/Papa John’s Woman’s Elite Team. This newly formed team will be racing across North America next year in the USA Crits Series and elsewhere.

Full Sponsorship: People want our full carbon road bikes and more so they want to be part of the Stradalli movement. The company joined with Wizard Racing Development Team for the upcoming season.

Bike Aid: The deal became official in December; we would become the title and bike sponsor for Bike Aid and form the Stradalli Cycle- Bike Aid Conti Team. This German pro team has years of experience racing all around the world in UCI competition and will be turning heads in 2016 armed with the Stradalli Cycle full carbon Aversa road bikes.

However, Bike Aid is more than just a race team; they raise awareness for an outstanding cause and bring opportunity and education to poverty-stricken communities in Africa. They give you African athletes an opportunity to compete in professional cycling. This is a great cause we are excited to be a part of.

The most successful year in company history wouldn’t be possible without the support of our loyal customers. We want to thank you for your support and hope you will join us for the unforgettable ride 2016 is certain to be.

Stradalli Cycle at Eurobike 2015

Stradalli Cycle got one step closer to becoming a global brand as they were invited to Eurobike 2015 in Germany this week. The largest bike show in the world will be host to over 70,000 people from over 100 countries and feature the latest technology and news in the cycling world, not just professional racing.

As Stradalli Cycle both manufactures and races bikes they have a dual advantage to being at such an event. There is no word yet on how this will impact the 2016 racing season as there is still a lot to do before the conclusion of the 2015 season with one more race for the USA Crits Series as well as the UCI Road World Championships in Richmond 2015 coming up in September.

Stradalli Cycle Pro Race Team’s West Coast Trip

The trip started out with team captain Grant Potter, back from his surgery, stopping by to see the team off and help pack the bus because Grant can’t stand still for more than 2 minutes. And the help was greatly appreciated considering how much stuff is needed for a trip like this.
If you haven’t followed professional cycling, or you are watching the Tour De France, you will not believe how much work goes into being ready for a trip like this. It’s not like a pro cycling team can stop for McDonalds the entire trip. (Special thanks to MetRX and Pure Protein btw for providing snacks on the trip. This may be the first road trip in history where everyone is getting healthier while traveling.)
20150708_082549
This is my first cross country trip but the thing that amazes me the most is the chemistry this team has. People see racing as an individual sport but half the day in the bus is spent with the team working on their strategy, talking about the track itself and studying the other teams that will be there. You would be amazed how much planning goes into everything. Even meals are planned out; should you focus more on protein, carbs, when to hydrate and so much more.
But why so much planning? Stradalli Cycle pro racer Ruben Companioni currently stands in first place in the overall USA Crits Series. The Stradalli Cycle pro race team is 2nd overall. To win one championship is special, to win both, you don’t have to be a cycling fan to understand why that is such a big deal.
It’s not all work, in fact you can’t even call this work because of all the laughs and good times we have had already. Team owner Tom Steinbacher has been beat up by the young guys in the training sessions but has kept the mood light the entire trip.
20150708_100246
The entire Stradalli Pro Race Team wants to thank our amazing sponsors as well as the members of the Stradalli Cycle family we have gotten to see along the way.
