Stradalli Cycle has just announced that they will be the official sponsor of the Colombian National Team for the UCI Road World Championships in Richmond this year. This is a huge honor for Stradalli Cycle as the event is one of the biggest in professional cycling in the entire world.
The Super Bowl is 1 day a year, brings about 100,000 - 150,000 people to the hosting city and gets around 125 million viewers on television. The World Championships last 7 days, will bring at least 450,000 people to Richmond and will be viewed by over 300 million viewers worldwide.
"People in this country don't realize how huge cycling is around the world. Pro cycling has been getting bigger in the States the last few years but I think this is the shot in the arm it needs. World's may do for cycling in the US what the World Cup did for soccer. It is such a big world and if you can tap into worldwide sports you are going to see a completely different fan base that is bigger than you realized.
