Stradalli Cycle Officially Becomes Title And Bike Sponsor For Bike Aid

StradalliCycle will be the title and bike sponsor for the GermanProfessional Continental Team Bike Aid for the 2016 racing season. The commitment includes title sponsorship, providing full carbon road bikes for the 2016 UCI racing season as well as to help raise awareness for the mission of Bike Aid; helping athletes from Africa reach the highest levels of European cycling as well as provide education and other resources to their communities.

“What grabbed our attention about Bike Aid was not just the high level of talent they have but each pro cyclist’s commitment to the club's awesome cause. They have the talent to race for almost any team but these guys believe in this cause so much that they race and work to bring awareness to it.
Stradalli Cycle/Bike Aid will field a competitive team and will bring a lot of good, positive and clean changes to the cycling world.” Stradalli Cycle CEO Tom Steinbacher

There were several companies who were interested in sponsoring Bike Aid for the 2016 UCI season but the team and members were looking for the right sponsor who would commit more than just financially.

“We wanted to find a sponsor who is going to be a part of our cause and our mission. Tom believes in our cause, he believes in his product and he will support both relentlessly. Everyone saw how great the Stradalli Cycle full carbon road bikes performed at Richmond 2015 UCI Road World Championships and in plenty of other races all around the world the past several years but we needed more than just a great bike. Tom understands how to build awareness and get people on board the way we need to help our efforts become even greater." Bike Aid President Eric Haus

Bike Aid was searching for more than just a financial commitment and because Stradalli Cycle was interested in both the title sponsorship as well as the bike sponsorship and their long history of aggressive marketing it seems like the perfect fit for both sides.

Tips For Riding Your Bike To And From Work

This month Stradalli Cycle is focused on educating our customers and cyclists everywhere on safety tips, comparing cycling to other forms of exercise and more. While Stradalli Cycle is one ofthe leading manufacturers of full carbon bicycles we also take pride in being part of the biking community, a community which covers the entire world and we feel the responsibility in offering advice and help to all riders no matter what bike you are on.

Today we focus on those who use their cycles to commute to and from work every day. There are more people riding their bikes to work and a large part has to do with convenience. Driving a car is ridiculously expensive between the price of the car, gas prices, insurance and don’t forget about the traffic you have to battle every day. This is why if you have the means to do so, riding a bike to work is a great idea.

Health benefits: Studies show that people who regularly ride their bike to work are physically and emotionally healthier. Not only are they getting regular cardio during the day but they experience less stress during their commute. Ever hear of road rage? When you exercise regularly you actually have more energy, are less stressed and more relaxed. All things we can use when walking into a tough day at work.

Cargo: Obviously you have to carry a few things with you and packing correctly not only makes things more convenient but also safer for you while on your bike. The best thing is to have a back pack that you can store what you need but make sure that it doesn’t hang loose. Tighten the straps so that the weight is not shifting around as much. Always bring a lock even if you are able to store your bicycle in the office at work because you never know if you have to stop somewhere else and will need it.

Safety: Especially now after daylight savings time it gets darker much earlier so you want to make sure that your bike has a front headlight and a rear light as well. Any reflective gear you can wear or additional lights you can put on your bicycle are always a great benefit as well. Be sure to follow proper bicycle safety tips for riding at night

Beginners: Do a ride to work on a day off before you try doing it on a day you work. This gives you an idea of how much time you need but remember if it takes you 20 minutes on a Sunday it may take you 30 minutes on a Monday so allow yourself extra time.

What are you wearing: You may not want to wear your suit or uniform for work while you are riding. If it rains a little, you get dirty or just due to the fact that you are sweating it may be smart to pack your work clothes. Also keep in mind that you will probably be wearing bike shorts as well so wearing them under your work pants may not be a great idea.

Be prepared: Not just a slogan. Make sure that you know bus routes, bring rain gear, tire repair kits and whatever you should bring on a long ride. These are things you can store in a kit or even your backpack.

Obviously there are advantages to having a carbon fiber road bike when commuting to work. They are more durable and weigh much less than your average retail bicycles. That may not seem like a big deal until you need a more reliable and durable bicycle as well as something that is light weight. Take one of the retail store bikes and try lifting it up a flight of stairs at work or moving it quickly as you walk through the office and you will easily understand why a full carbon road bike is much better.

Cycling VS Running

The debate between running and cycling as a form of cardio continues on. Obviously at Stradalli Cycle we willbe a little bias because we sell full carbon bikes and believe it is the best form of exercise you can do not only from a health standpoint but for enjoyment as well because cycling is a fun recreational activity. However, after talking with several trainers, professional athletes in MMA as well as other sports and several customers who work out on a daily basis here is what we have found:

It is important to note that both exercises are great forms of cardio; they strengthen the heart and build leg muscles. Both exercises will help you to lose weight, maintain your weight and improve your overall health.

Losing Weight: Both are great forms of cardio to lose weight. Burning calories will be based on your weight, how fast you are going and more. Running does burn more calories in the same period of time. However, that is due to the fact that you are supporting your entire body’s weight. The question is what are you more likely to complete on a daily basis, running for a full 40 minutes or going for a bike ride for an hour?

Convenience: Running enthusiasts will say that going for a jog in the morning is cheaper than buying a full carbon fiber road bike. While that’s true you also have to look at what form of cardio you are most likely to stick with. Riding your bike is a great form of exercise but it can also be done as a recreational activity as well as an alternate method of transportation to and from work.

Strength and Endurance: Cycling allows you to go longer than running because you are not beating up your body as much. When you run you are supporting your entire body’s weight with your legs and that puts major strain on your lower back, knees and joints. Ever have a shin splint?

Again running is still better than doing nothing and if it is your only means of exercise then it is a great form of cardio, you will lose weight and get healthier. But when comparing the two, many pro athletes prefer training on bikes because they get many similar advantages that you receive from going for a run but less wear and tear on your body.

Another note: While you may be tempted to go with a bike you find in a retail store understand that you are missing out on true value. If you love riding you will want to upgrade and now you have a bike that you cannot get a good return on. If you start with a full carbon fiber road bicycle from Stradalli you will not only love it but you can get them for a low price because they are sold directly from Stradalli Cycle rather than a 3rd party distributor or bike shop. Full carbon fibercycles are light weight but more durable to give you a better feel and a far better ride.

Interview With Stradalli Cycle CEO and Entrepreneur Tom Steinbacher at Richmond 2015

Stradalli Cycle was the official sponsor for the Colombian National Team at Richmond 2015 UCI Road World Championships where they provided the pro racers with full carbon road bikes and more.

“Stradalli Cycle has had a long relationship with Colombia and cycling. I go there all the time for vacation as well as to train and I love the hospitality I am shown each time I visit. I truly enjoy teaching and training the children who have a passion for cycling and absorb so much of what you show them.” Tom Steinbacher

Sponsoring teams is nothing new as Stradalli sponsors pro teams all over the world for road, track, mountain and other forms of bicycle racing. Their full carbon bikes rival the quality of the top brand names but cost a fraction of the price.

“When I sponsor a pro racer and teams around the world I look for individuals who have a passion for cycling and want an opportunity to compete. It’s easy to prove that we have the best quality full carbon bicycles on the market; all you have to do is look at the results. I can easily say we have the best prices by far because if you go to our website you know that’s the case. But I want people who want to race and want to compete all around the world. Those are the kind of people that are going to make Stradalli Cycle a global brand in racing and that’s what we are looking for.”Tom Steinbacher
