Meron Teshome with great 2nd place on stage 11 at Tour of Qinghai Lake (UCI 2.HC)

After Meron has already showed the last two days with 2 times top 10 that he is in a promising shape, the whole team was motivated to step up with great results on today's stage. Knowing about the strength of the fast man from Eritrea, the team wanted to support Meron with no comprimise.

In the final of the stage the team led Meron out in a perfect position to start his sprint and he finished with a great performance only beaten by Jakub Mareczko from Italian Procontinental team Wilier Trestina. Marko Kump from World Tour team Lampre – Merida completed the podium on place 3, who already won 2 stages of this year's Tour of Qinghai Lake.

After taking this great result, Meron Teshome said with a big smile on his face: "today was a perfect day. The whole team comitted yesterday to work very hard to bring me in a good position and the guys did a great job. In the end I had the pressure to finalize the good work and to finish 2nd in such a big race with such great sprinters is just awesome".

The guys from team STRADALLI – BIKE AID

At This year's race edition of Sibiu Cycling Tour, ranked 2.1. category in UCI calendar, led over a prologue and four stages with a lot of high climbing in the middle of Transylvanian mountains in Romania.
The guys from STRADALLI – BIKE AID did a great job throughout the entire week and proofed their ability to act as a real competitive European top pro team.
On stage 1 it was Nikodemus Holler who took the place of the selected sprinter Patrick Lechner as he couldn't make it in the bunch to the finish line due to several technical issues , broken chain then after chasing back a flat front tire blow out on a fast decent .
In the massive fast sprint Niko showed that he is a very smart pro racer and finished on 10th position not bad for a skinny GC guy next to the big sprinters.
The goal was to ride for Niko as a captain in the GC and the team showed that this should not only be a plan. As a 13 man break went away in the beginning of queen-stage number 2 over 213 Kilometers with a 15k finish to the top of a ski mountain , the gap increased rapidly as no team wanted to do the work of controlling the bunch.
After the gap still increased and reached 11 Minutes, the guys from STRADALLI - BIKE AID took over the responsibility and chased the group down to six minutes at 40 Kilometers to go. But then a shock: crash! Niko Holler! His rear derailer is broken and also his knee injured! After a hard fight try back to the group and several times of stopping due to his pain, Nikodemus Holler finished in the last group and remained in the race with his 2 team mates helping to bring him slow but save.
All the hard work for nothing ?
No, he didn't want to let the work of his team mates being unpaid and fought back on stage 4 with another great 7th place. The whole team showed a good performance and the will to ride for his captain without a doubt. Only the crash has left a little scratch on a good picture of the week in Romania.

The Best Full Carbon Road Bikes For Under $2,000

Every consumer has to deal with the challenge of finding balance between quality and affordability. If you are a cyclist you know the difference between a quality full carbon road bike and the ones you get at popular retail chains. There really is no comparison when it comes to quality. Full carbon road bikes are more durable, weigh half as much and give you such a better ride that you literally never want to get off the bike. These are the bikes used by pro racers all around the world, check out the Tour de France.

But then comes the issue of the price. What if you’re not a pro racer? What if you just want a bike to help you to lose a few pounds, commute to work or ride around town? You shouldn’t have to break the bank for that should you? Again it comes down to quality, you may not think there is a significant difference between an $8,000 car and an $80,000 one until you actually drive them both.

That’s why there is such a demand for full carbon road bikes, because the quality is unmatched. The good news is that you do not have to break the bank to get one. Here are some full carbon road bikes that are under $2,000 from Stradalli Cycle.

Not only are the full carbon road bicycles at Stradalli Cycle low in price because they sell it themselves, but the quality is undeniable as their cycles are used in pro races all around the world. In fact Stradalli currently owns and/or sponsors over a half dozen race teams and racers including the Stradalli-Bike Aid pro team that races in Europe against some of the top racers and World Tour Teams.

So if you want a new bicycle and you want something that is going to give you the performance you need at a price you can afford there’s only one place to shop.

Stradalli Cycle/Bike Aid Pro Racer Patrick Lechner

Today we went on a ride with Stradalli-Bike Aid Continental Cycling Team Rider, Patrick Lechner on A1A through Ft. Lauderdale along the beach, who was putting his Stradalli Cycle Full Carbon Fiber Aversa Road Bike through some tests in preparation for his 2016 season.

Lechner has been the Saarland, Germany Road Racing Champion 4 times during his career. In 2016 alone he took the road, mountain bike, uphill and cyclocross titles of Saarland, Germany.
Lechner is incredibly strong and is often the keystone to his team’s success. It was his personality and his insight into cycling is what makes him an irreplaceable part of his team.

Today Lechner gave us some feedback about his new Stradalli Aversa.

“The bike is beautiful,” Lechner said. “Aside from that, I am a bigger rider and I need a stiff frame. This frame responds to every effort I put into it. I love it. When a bike performs this well, it makes me very confident for the upcoming season.”

Lechner only had a few moments to spend with us before he had to get back to the grind of team training in South Florida. South Florida sounds relaxing, but Stradalli-Bike Aid is here to do work in preparation for the upcoming season. They will average around 6 hours per day for the next two weeks and every mile of the training will be covered aboard the new Stradalli Aversa.

Cycling and MMA Training A Perfect Match

It's not uncommon for athletes to look at other sports to help train, build endurance and improve their abilities in the sport they compete in. Professional Hockey players play basketball not only because it is fun but because the mindset for offense and defense is similar to their sport. Football players use soccer as a way to improve footwork and see the field at a faster pace. Ironically there is one activity that all the pro athletes seem to do to help build endurance, get in their cardio, stay warmed up and keep hamstrings healthy and that is cycling.
MMA (mixed martial arts) has become one of the fastest growing sports around the world in popularity because it draws many participants as a great way to get in shape and learn self-defense. It doesn't matter if you are training to be a professional or simply looking for a new exercise as a hobby to help you get into better shape. Many MMA instructors highly recommend that you combine MMA training with cycling and here are a few reasons why:
  1. Improved Focus: One of the most challenging aspects of MMA is building up your stamina because you have to constantly push yourself past your limits if you want to make real progress. Endurance training is also very challenging to the mind because you can lose interest, get bored or lose focus very easily. Many trainers believe that cycling keeps you focused for cardio because you are moving at a much faster pace and have to be aware of your surroundings.
  2. Building up your body: When you are running you will usually run a route based on the distance you wish to travel. So if your max is 5 miles you will make sure that you get back to your car or front door around that mileage. However, there are no limits when you are cycling because you are getting a great cardio workout but you are also enjoying yourself more so you end up going much further in distance as well as time. Obviously you will go much further on a bike than you would if you were running so the more ground you cover the better not to mention you aren't tearing up your knees with all that running.
  3. Accommodating: Running is exercise, cycling can be a mode of transportation to get to work or anywhere else you need to travel to. When you use your bike for traveling you are saving on gas, not having to worry about heavy traffic, you get a great deal of exercise in each day even if you are in a rush and you feel better too.
  4. Health: If you have knee, back or joint problems that make running more challenging then cycling is the right form of cardio for you because it is a great way to improve your stamina without the wear and tear on your body. Even with the best running shoes on the market you are still putting a huge amount of pressure on your knees, back and joints.

Cycling is the perfect exercise to combine with any other sport because it increases endurance through cardio without increasing the wear and tear on your body. Whether you are training in MMA or any other sport you want to give your body the best treatment to help you succeed. Cycling improves your endurance while also making exercising fun and exciting. If it's good enough for the pros why wouldn't it be good enough for you?
Special Tip: The best bike to train with is a carbon road bike. The reason is because carbon road bikes are light weight but extremely durable which makes it the perfect piece of exercise equipment.
