"I have not experienced such a thing before - not in 12 years of racing", Ole Quast , the Hamburg-based Stevens Racing team- driver in America, still impresses. The final of the US Speedweek Criterium Series in Athens, Georgia was one big party. More than 40,000 spectators were taking the course in the middle of the student city center, not only for Ole's goose bumps before the race. In the middle of the last race of the series it was no different. "It was hardly possible to get in touch with the team-mate, so I had only once before, and that was at the cross-championship in Belgium. In celebration was also the entire Stradalli team , for which Ole drives. After the further races in Walterboro and Spartanburg, the third place in the team standings could be watered. For Florence Knauer, another German in the team, there was also the third place in the overall classification. Ole Quast will be in the final billing as the 16s, becoming the second-best of the US team. "I've been very satisfied with every race and I've had a lot of strong American racers, the top teams of the US scene, everything that has rank and name, I always showed good and worked a lot in the front." Could be the third place in the team's championship. For Florence Knauer, another German in the team, there was also the third place in the overall classification. Ole Quast will be in the final billing as the 16s, becoming the second-best of the US team. "I've been very satisfied with every race and I've had a lot of strong American racers, the top teams of the US scene, everything that has rank and name, I always showed good and worked a lot in the front." There were a lot of strong American racers in every race, the top teams of the US scene, everything that has rank and name. I have always been able to show myself well and have worked a lot in the front. In the next few weeks the rest will be on the agenda, even if some local races are waiting for him. "Now let's get some air on the legs." There are 1,2 races in Florida, before it gets really colorful again in June. " Correctly colorful means also really fast driving. The Tour of America's Dairyland is the largest road race in the United States. From June 15 to 25, every day in the state of Wisconsin, the top drivers will drive the prestigious victory again. From the Giro d'Grafton, the Carl Zach Cycling Classics to the Race The Harbor Criterium, before the winners of the final East Tosa Gran Prix in Wauwatosa.

Ole is hard-working. The US SPEED WEEK led him and his team to Rock Hill, Rock Hill Criterium, to Caromont, North Carolina. The Rock Hill Crit was on a brand new asphalt course. Not only this, the top drivers from the American Criteriums scene brought to the glow. Ole Quast was enthusiastic. From the route, but also from the high level on which there was driven. "It was a good start for us and the bonus fund was filled." His Stradalli team was equally impressive. Oles German team-colleague, Florence Knauer was at the end the best of the team, and sixth in the overall evaluation. Ole Quast finished 30th in the field. Together they went to the accommodation with the team, which is often there with guest families. "This is a lot more relaxing than in hotels. Most of the people are super people, and you get to know about it," says the 28-year-old.

The next stop on the US tour was the road race in Caromont, more specifically in Belmont. At the same time, the participants had to overcome an enormous temperature drop. If it was still 30 degrees in the previous race, the state on the American Atlantic coast could only have 10 to 12 degrees and continuous rain. These rather domestic conditions seem to lie with the German guys in the team. From the beginning, Florence Knauer attacked the competition and determined the Pace. A complete team performance put the favored teams such as Hincapie-Racing additionally under pressure, so that in the end for Oles team the tagessieg jumped out. Ole is more than satisfied with the 16th place : "We are doing very well. Florence's victory is of course the hammer. But the whole team works well together. "The next race is now in Walterboro, then we go to Athens." The next crits we drive in university cities, because then the air really burns. There is always a lot of spectators along the course that motivates then again. "The engine is on. It is running at the" Hamburger in Amerika ".

OLEQUAST (HRV) runs alien. The Hamburg-based STEVENS Racing Team driver is currently on the road in the US for the Stradalli Cyling team. For the North American racing team, he already competed at the Alabama Cycling Classics. The prestigious event consists of the King Sunny Criterium and the McClellean Road Race, embedded in a large street festival. OLEQUAST: The criterion on Saturday was all that has rank and name in America. Thus 150 riders were on the start at a 1.2km round. According to our Teamchef, 50 were able to win the race. I made it with "eye" in the first row, which was already the first rent. Because of the high number of starters and the race under floodlight, unfortunately, there were many crashes, where I luckily came three times very close. Two of my team-mates got it pretty hard. In the end, a 47th place jumped out. Not particularly good but for the second road race of the season at the end then but satisfactory. Above all, I was glad not to have fallen.

On Sunday followed a 140km long street race with two climbs per round, one of them had by the way 24%. Unfortunately, the race was already fully opened after 5km. Unfortunately, 3/4 of the field was caught on the wrong foot - our team also. So it was for us to hunt for the 30 escapees, since we had none of our riders in front. For me, after two laps and done work, the race was over and the battery was empty. In the end, only 24 of the 150 started riders managed to reach the finish line. Next weekend we will continue with the Speed-Week: These are just six races in 9 days ( http://usacrits.com/speed-week/ ). I'm excited about what's going to happen. In Oles Team ( http://carbonroadbikebicyclecycling.com/ ) internationality is a top priority. Apart from him, two other Germans, a Mexican, three North American and two drivers from the Domenican Republic belong to the squad of the wheel manufacturer. As he and his team at the upcoming "Speed-Week" fared, then there is the next "a hamburger in America".
